  • This isn't the end of it. Food prices are what drove the riots and food prices will be the undoing of the Eqyptian "democrats". It will take a long time to fix the Eqyptian economy and one questions whether the rioters are willing to wait that long.

  • Also rioting does not equal democracy - Democracy only works if you accept losing and are willing to work with the winners and are ok with waiting your turn later.

  • Unfortunately, US aid is viewed largely as a bribe to keep the Egyptians from attacking the Israelis - Once the government is over thrown - the Muslim Brotherhood will move in, their economy will go in the toilet and Gaza border will be re-opened.

  • Real question - which one is at fault - the airline for having FAA approved seats or the child seat manufacturer for making a FAA approved seat. I doubt United "customized" the plane.
